Oh, the replies to this made me more than a bit cross. Apparently ‘success’ has nothing to do with sales and ‘sales are an afterthought’ Sorry, but whit? If you want to grow as an artist you need studio time. Lots of it. If you’re not selling art work to fund that studio time you are either A. Doing another job (and not getting the studio time) or B. Coming at it from a position of privelege. So this is bullshit. You need to sell to grow as an artist. Unless you are already loaded.
