Are Hispanic people considered white or black? I don’t consider myself white although my skin is light, but my husband is automatically called black because of his dark skin, even though he’s Dominican. I can’t wrap my head around it 🤪 I’m just going to say I’m black cus I’m definitely not H’white.

It refers to someone from a Spanish-speaking country (e.g., Spain, Equatorial Guinea), while Latino refers to someone from Latin America (e.g., Brazil, Belize, Haiti). Both can be any race—Black, white, Indigenous, Asian, or mixed. Latin America has Black descendants of the Atlantic Slave trade, white descendants of Spanish colonizers, and many Mexicans are mestizo (Spanish and Indigenous ancestry).
