Sounds like something else going on here, a/ most always carry some in their bag whether regular or not. b/ a colleague in such a situation would happily give you their handbag supply. c/ washrooms normally have a vending machine . d/ a pad made out of toilet paper works in an emergency.

Idk your work circumstance but saying I have a medical emergency, hafta go home and then leave...,unless of course your home is more than 15-20 minutes away. Whats the worse? Fire you for an emergency? You stated this is just temp position anyway

Periods cannot be controlled. Some folks may not even be regular. Even if they're, we can forget. Workplaces SHOULD provide period products for free (heck, I'd say that it should be free everywhere and we shouldn't have to pay for it).

If it were me I’d keep a small supply in my desk at work. Or if you don’t have a desk, keep some in your purse…at least one for emergencies like this.

I'm assuming you have a male boss. I would have just said I was sick and had to leave for the rest of the day, they didn't need to know the exact issue.

If you go around asking people to check if you leaked maybe they’ll tell you to leave. But on a serious note that is horrible
