There’s no logic & reasoning with them. Better off turning your back and keep far away from them, especially when you are healing.

1) That evil people does exist. 2) observe actions before believing in this manipulative person. 3) if you feel uncomfortable with a situation: please say no for your own peace of mind. 4) trust your instincts

Always speak your truth to them. Do not dumb it down but be respectful. Eg Are you being honest? Would you even be honest or is that something that's too difficult for you? Don't be afraid to block them for however long is required to maintain your peace. It is unlikely they will change upon your return but practicing standing up to them can help with mental health. Don't be afraid to tell them assertively that their behaviour is unacceptable in a public setting if need be.

Skyrocketed my self-respect and self-worth. It was a favor, actually, to force me to remember who I am. Now they cross the street when they see me 🤷🏻♀️ wonder why? 🤔

Always show them you put yourself first. They loathe it and feel you're mirroring them .
