I’ve enjoyed this tree for 27 years. My new neighbor didn’t like to rake the leaves so he’s having it removed. Is it normal to be crying over the death of a tree?

Your feelings are valid! I too have cried over the senseless removal of trees. I have even stopped a pine tree from being cut down. (Luckily I live in Seattle and trees over a certain height and width are protected by the City.) The tree was fine, but the landlord hated the mess it made.

I hope his front yard is hot as dick in the summer and that his grass remains dead year round 💓 you absolutely have every right to mourn this tree, I've lived in my property 28 years and watched the oak tree across the street grow if my neighbors did this it would DESTROY me. You should plant a tree in your yard in the hopes that your leaves blow that way lol

I’d be sad watching this happen too! Heck I used to cry as a kid over the cut trees that were left behind at the Christmas tree lots because I wanted them to be loved.

Yes. People love to cut down trees to avoid yard work & it’s very sad.
