Actually, I *do* have an issue with Bluey ... anyone else think Bandit is way more fun & developed as a character than Chili? Same for Daddy/Mommy Pig in Peppa. Are our children being taught to see mothers as mostly background characters? Just playing a support role to the dad & kids?What gender roles are being normalized? (and yes, I'm making fun of that silly anti-Bluey article, but also genuinely curious to hear others' perspectives! I think parenting dynamics in cartoons are interesting!)

7 小時內	Kate MB loveandbesilent	In many many real life families kids already have an example of an engaged and present mum, but many do not have the same from their dad. Bluey gives them an example of what dads can be, and gives dads an example of how they can engage more with their kids. Mums, for the most part, don’t need this. It would be nice if both parents could be fleshed out more, but I’d rather they get one thing really right than do two things half as well.
19 小時內	JL Pritchard munifsabroad	I think chili does play a main role but has a different personality from Bandit, just like how Bluey and Bingo, one is more outspoken and one less. However, we stopped watching Bluey because it felt like the kids and parents were being too friendly. There is a line of respect that we still need to maintain between parents and kids, and we feel like Bluey crosses that now and then
