I sprained my ankle over a year ago and it won’t heal. Some days the swelling is minimal,but others are painful. This is my ankle as of last night. Is this normal? I have never broken a bone or sprained anything else.

Let me tell you there is more to an ankle than meets the eye! Please see a good podiatrist and don't just let them try to convince you it's all in your head! Best wishes. ☺️🫶

9 小時內	standard5150	Swelling ankles can be from more than a sprain a year ago. I'd suggest you see your primary care doctor to rule out other causes. It can be related to many issues including some cardiac conditions...
10 小時內	Bonnie Keene Norris bonnielee1951	I did that and after a couple of months and an xray it still wouldn’t heal. I asked for an MRI and had two torn ligaments. Get to a doctor and ask for imaging
