My 15-year-old came home upset after a church event. She’d been playing football with a group of boys. And while she’s a good athlete — definitely faster & more talented than a lot of the boys — they mostly ignored her, and the QB refused to throw to her.
“I don’t understand,” she said. “It’s not fair.”
I told her I knew what it was like; it happened to me many times growing up.
