What’s the best way to get radio play for upcoming bands and artists at BBC Radio, 6 Music and Radio X? Except for @johnkennedydj who is fantastic, I struggle with the others?

We're a jazzy big band octet.. called Angela O'Neill and the Outrageous8.. we've been together almost 10 years..and released 4 records independently ..which charted well and are critically acclaimed..most recent one was last year ..we play out on average of once or twice a month ..my question is.. is there a record label .. that handles musicians like us?? Hello. We dropped our 5th album in January and the way the industry works now is - no one is interested unless you have 25,000 plus follows, likes etc on a platform. Our album is getting rave reviews from people that listen but unless we get someone behind it - it will get lost in the thousands of other songs being released.
