John David "JD" Souther was a singer, songwriter, and actor who co-wrote many of the Eagles' biggest hits, including "New Kid in Town" and "Best of My Love". He was also known for his work with Linda Ronstadt and James Taylor. He passed away yesterday and is home in New Mexico. Now three of the original Eagles are gone. I was fortunate to see them from the start back at Cal JAM One. RIP JD
