I believe that they do deep down but do not allow it into their consciousness. They cannot, or their mask would fall and ego would die. Ego death to a narc = real life death as far as they are concerned

U can agree to disagree based off these comments but if an extreme narcissist No. Narcissists are just professional manipulators. We’re all manipulators so we’re all very prone to becoming narcissistic. But extreme narcissists will have their moments at a certain point where they will admit that there’s something wrong with them but they will neverrr admit that they are narcissistic bcz the amount of healing it takes can mentally ruin them whether they care or not.

Yes and they get off on inflicting the pain and playing their power moves. They can even get turned on watching someone cry.

I’ve learned that there are some self-aware narcissists out there who actively work to try and reduce their harmful behaviors(therapy, etc.) but I don’t think there’s a lot of narcissists who do that. But kudos to those who know they need help.
