Born in 1987. My first car was a stick. Same for many of my lady friends bc our dads wanted to make sure we knew how to drive one, which begs the question : what does it taste like to have so many feet in one’s mouth at once?

I don't get the obsession some boomers have with making vehicles harder to drive. Automatic transmission would not have been invented if manual were the best and safest option. It's only car nerds who need the manual transmission. The rest of us just want ease of use for something we use not as a hobby, but as a means to an end.

A lot of gen-z’ers know how to drive stick. It’s still a way that cars are made believe it or not
