Already had mine

Literally everyone I know who pre ordered didn’t get their phone cancelled and just went in store and got one

It’s not worth traveling hours for though by no means necessary furthest I traveled was 20 minutes the key is going before everyone gets off work which I did and was pretty much in and out

Your position at the initial pre order was for the later pick up date, but ppl canceled and you where able to go early, but I do wish the system at apple did that automatically instead of you canceling & ordering again

This year I placed my order 16 minutes after pre orders started and I was able up pick my iPhone 16 Pro Max yesterday at the store. In previous years I was later placing my order and was going to have to wait for it to ship. Sometimes I just waited but I've also cancelled day of and found one in a store.

I missed out on the pre order due to work. Could have ordered it for delivery middle of October. Logged on yesterday at 6am , placed an order yesterday for pick up and picking it up tomorrow from my local shop. ( 16 pro max )

Because the inventory is different when ordering instead of going and getting what the store actually has in stock

For everyone crying about Apple customers upgrading yearly, even though it literally isn’t your business, they may want to trade in while they’ll get the greatest value for their phone. You hold on to the 13, 14, or 15 and it continues to depreciate in value so you end up paying almost full price for the next phone when you could’ve saved hundreds. And you have more benefits getting your phone from Apple instead of on contract w/ another company.

When you originally pre-ordered the stores didn’t have the product or it was limited. As a result you couldn’t pick it up in store…because they didn’t have them or had already exhausted the units they did have.
