So true. I teach education at the graduate level, so my students are teachers returning for either a Masters or additional licensure, and I always tell them this. Teaching Assistants make the world go ‘round. They are so under appreciated.

Not to discard assistants but I rarely have one in my class and it continues to undermine the work of college educated classroom teachers. We need a united front, not a “we are the backbone” mentality.
