Melissa McCarthy was luminous as Sookie St James in GilmoreGirls Her undeniable beauty and close friendship with the titular Gilmore Girls made the random and sparse comments both Lorelai and Rory made about other (non-thin) women's bodies really disappointing. I love Lorelai and Rory but idk how they reconciled being so body shamey whilst being close friends with the gorgeous plus-sized Sookie. It was a stain on their characters that never should've been allowed.
