I have a 10ftx10ft poured concrete slab in my backyard with a crappy tin shed on top of it. In my locale, I can build 12ftx12ft shed without a permit. This is just a storage shed. Is there a way I can pour the additional concrete to get that size without pulling up the 10x10 slab and pouring an all new slab?

4 小時內	Stephen Altherr stephenaltherr152	Sure. You would pour a 1 ft stem wall around the whole pad. By stem wall I mean basically a foundation wall. Goes to the frost line .
12 小時內	Matthew D Jamieson matthewjamieson	Whatever side(s) you add concrete to, make sure to drill into the side of the existing slab, and add some rebar dowels. Every 12” would be lots. This will keep the 2 slabs from separating and/or heaving from each other. 8” dowels should be sold at your local hardware store. Worth it.
