@united makes an announcement for pre-board for people with disabilities. Me: *first person to stand in line* Attendant: *ignores me* Okay are you ready to pre-board (to older white couple not in line)? Me: I'm preboarding. Attendant: Oh you need extra time? Me: No I'm disabled and preboarding. Attendant: Oh *let's me board while shocked* Airlines y'all need to know that people have invisible disability too! This is exhausting!

You stated no you didn’t need extra time so why did you preboard? I am confused by your response and this post.

She was pretty well into the severity of the disease but she was still traveling to Pittsburgh to participate in studies and trials to help find a cure. We were probably 51 the last time we went. The nasty looks I got when I took her up to preboard. It was so hard to get her in her seat and buckled, etc. Show kindness people.

I also have an invisible disability that got worse after my car accident and being in my 20s I always get questioned & looked at as if I’m lying. It sucks we don’t get believed or treated fairly, Which is exactly why I haven’t used that boarding even if I do need it as well. Elderly isn’t the only people with disabilities, being younger & looking “ok” shouldn’t mean we have to explain either.
