Have lived in London for 40 years. Never been robbed, beaten up or assaulted. I lived in a town in the NW of England for 11 years, and had these on several occasions - hospitalised twice.

Mental. I got stung back in 2023 and I’m usually SO careful with shit like that. At a table outside a restaurant and all. I’ve had so many friends visit and either get robbed or had someone with them robbed. It’s crazy.

Normal stuff in BIG cities. Stop being a zombie on your phone and be aware of your damn surroundings at all times.

It’s ridiculous seeing some people here saying oh I have never been through this, oh it’s so safe for me. Okay great, good for you. The fact is local and tourists are getting their phone stolen and snatched! Don’t take it personally it’s not people hating london it’s the fact that this city has this serious issue that’s out of control!
