For today's run I had the idea of a meandering run to a town about 10km away (as the crow flies) and then getting the train back, however, when I looked up the train times I discovered that the journey would be 35 minutes on the train, 10 minutes walk/jog home from my home station plus a buffer to not miss the train - an extra hour on my workout time! How do other, high volume + low spare time athletes avoid getting bored of their local routes?
On the bright side... I did get a donkey selfie!
