It was only once we were back in the car, I realised the reason I’d been crying was because Valerie was the first foster carer that ever took me out to eat. Valerie was (technically) my 5th. I was devastated that she was only temporary and she’s probably not even alive anymore but I’ve never forgotten that she did that. (3)
