Funny story: I saw this book at the check out counter and the beautiful cover art caught my eye. I mentioned to the cashier that it looked interesting and they said, “it’s been really popular, [they] heard Demon Copperhead is a play on David Copperfield.” So in my head I think David Copperfield = magic ✨ and decide to get it. Well, this book is NOT about magic at all (David Copperfield is actually a novel by Charles Dickens, 1850), but I do recommend it. Adult read, lots of TW. Bookthreads
