Question for gym girls who had babies.. do I have to wait the full 6-8 weeks.? Or has anyone worked out before? I feel good and feel tight like everything is in tact but.. I figured I’d see what mamas had to say. jw!

Just remember to listen to your body🫶🏼 I just had a baby and I jumped back in a little before🙌 but I was definitely working out my entire pregnancy too.. but I would start with walking and stomach vacuum exercises to heal your core within🫶🏼

I went back at 30 days PP , I did tear slightly but stitches dissolved by then. I only worked out 3 times a week 10min cardio+15/20 min weights then eventually worked my way up. I also started seeing a gonstead chiropractor to make sure I was adjusted correctly since everything does shift, last thing you want to do is create imbalances on your body!

I’d recommend to wait six , if you can even wait 8 weeks. Lots of moms complain about having started too early and not waited. Now they have prolapse issues and more therapy in front of them. Trust me, I wanted to workout 4 weeks postpartum and I’m glad I didn’t. It’s imperative you wait . And what is another 2 weeks compared to a lifetime of pelvic floor issues ❤️. You got this. Sometimes not doing anything is even harder. But you can do it!

Start working out when you feel like you can. Don’t base it off weeks. I did that and hurt myself pretty bad and I was 12 weeks pp.
