They are a part of Chicago Public Schools but only selected students can attend.

They’re Chicago public schools that are magnet/selective enrollment schools thwt you have to test/apply to get into. None of these charge tuition and all are fully public schools. I went to an equivilant in Detroit. It’s a very stressful process.
