Not a fella but it depends on his lifestyle. Is he extremely gifted where he can manage the console on his own?? You don’t even know the differences so one would assume you wouldn’t be much help and one would assume the father isn’t in his life either for you to be asking the internet. Also, do most of his peers have a console?? What games does he intend on playing? You can get him a PC which can be multipurpose or a Nintendo switch just off the fact that he’s very young.

PC you gotta gettem hooked when they are young lol. Seriously though you can get a decent gaming pc for a little more and it will be upgradable and that will teach him to work on computers and how they are built.
