I’ve often thought this; interesting to have the evidence. Here are my theories as to why: - we are incredibly trusting and often look for the good in people - despite having good gut instincts, we spent our whole lives being told they’re wrong so we don’t listen to then - see above which also means we are possibly easy to gaslight as we assume we got it wrong - we also often fall pretty hard especially when meeting new people, which can stop us from picking up on red flags.
