Oof honestly that’s kinda heart breaking. I don’t really get professional photos done often so I can’t speak on that but I’d know that my feelings might hurt too if I were in your shoes. I don’t think it’s like red flag as long as they are nice to you irl. Also Because it is their account and they can do what they want but it does leave room to consider other photographers.

I am just forgetful and don't post photos on my IG so all of mine tend to be people sending Collab posts. I also sometimes lose the person's handle and feel bad posting without credit

If I was shooting cosplay people I would post ALL the cosplayers and any gender (as long as I was pleased with the picture and they were pleased also). To do otherwise would make me feel ashamed. I’d want people to feel comfortable with me and know I was giving my all to respect them and what they do.

If I ever shot a cosplayer, the model would have to fit the likeness aesthetically of the character for me to put on my page. If the character is voluptuous/tomboy masculine in the anime/comic/game…so long as the model can fit the bill, I would post that. But I don’t haven’t had any cosplayers to model for me…yet…

Well what can I said but I remember there's one photography ask me and my friend who cosplay red ranger and in the end he only post my friend pic but not me. I mad but what can I do.

I work in the creatives industry, Photgrapher’s will posts photos that will best suit their work, the posted photo must also be pallettable for everybody no matter the niche, hence a generic attractive person is more prominenent, as boring as it is, it is more clickable and drives more traffic and engagement; This is to funnel potential clients for projects. Ask yourself how you’re able to hire a photographer, you might’ve seen some of their works, and thought those are cool so then you inquire
