Disrespect from a stranger is loud and clear, but if a close friend says the same thing, it’s still disrespectful. However, how you react may depend on your relationship with them—you might think it's fine because you know them well. Still, I don't think most of your guy friends would say that; they'd likely tease you instead of offering a compliment.
