I had a mentor growing up; Mary Handson Robert’s, she would sketch anywhere and everywhere. She taught me to always carry a pencil, because you can always find scrap paper. A sketchbook is sometimes intimidating, but sketch on the back of the envelope of your power bill is sometimes just a bit of beauty in an ugly world. ( I usually kept notepads or post it notes, but envelopes were still game.)
