This morning was incredibly peaceful. I sedated her a little before we left. The vet and his nurse had laid out a fleecy rug and pillow. I have cried so many tears in the last few weeks and there will be more, but not then, it was beautiful. I told her it was fine and to rest her body now and thanked her for her love and friendship and told her not to stay there, that she was free to be where she chose. And gently and peacefully she left. And then I felt her next to me and we left together. 💜🌈
