As a Dallas native I’m still trying to understand the hype around the fair 🤷🏾♀️

Go and try it once during the day and once at night. Especially the closing fireworks show. It is a big expensive hassle but maybe you’ll see the fun. Then if you still don’t get it you can stay home and save. I always enjoy it and I’m not usually one for crowds.

OVER-priced everything…nowhere to park SAFELY. Went twice since moving here…it was a headache both times.

It’s the largest state fair in America. It’s the only one to feature a car show, two college football games, and museum. The problem is that ppl think it’s suppose to be like an amusement park (Six Flags). It’s a fair. A fair is suppose to display livestock shows and exhibits. Since this is the State Fair of Texas, it has participants from all over the state. The midway with the rides is one aspect and the food is also another aspect. Since they only last for a few weeks, they tend to be pricy.

It’s a fun experience. I go during the week, usually when they collect food for the food pantry. Mostly I walk around and look - and eat some food.

You don’t have to understand the hype. We just love the food and fun. It’s simple. 😊
