When I first got my league pass I said the same thing! Like it’s so dumb why did I just pay for it then?!

NBA League Pass is the exact same way. If your state has a team those games will be broadcast on your local channels. It’s mainly for the out of state teams who don’t have any games scheduled for national TV.

This is typical for sports nowadays, even the NFL is on CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, Amazon Prime and a couple overseas games are on NFL network. Like the WNBA, in the NBA, NHL, and MLB all teams have local broadcast deals and there are Nationally broadcast games on multiple platforms. The league pass always blacks out locally broadcast games in a defined media area for the local team because of the local broadcast deal the local team has in place with that media company.
