The “both sides” narrative is absolutely a dangerous false equivalency (there are some disgusting things about Kamala’s position, but it’s naïve to the extreme to ignore the fact that Trump is so much worse), but it’s where a lot of us start when we first decide to be actively mindful of politics and ethics. No one has an obligation to give Roan another chance or hold our for her to learn better, but it’s also not harmful or privileged to hope she does. ⬇️
