I helped my friend Kim clear out her house today. It flooded with 3ft+ of water. House itself is salvageable because it sits on blocks but will still need a lot of work. Fortunately, she has insurance. Luckier than her neighbors down the street. Their house now sits sideways; it’s completely wrecked. And their shed, which they packed with a bunch of stuff thinking it would be safe, flooded to the roof — 6ft of water. They have no insurance. hurricanehelene
