The Venn Diagram of EV owners and home renters has to be almost two perfectly separate circles.

Most EVs come with a level 1 charger that can plug into any 3 prong outlet. It takes longer to charge maybe 30-40% of a charge overnight. We usually have to charge it once a week and it takes about 2 overnights to fully charge. Very manageable and I feel like if more people were a really educated on EVs they could see it would work for them

I rent half of a duplex where I live is fortunate enough to have an over-gauge dryer outlet wired to a location that I was able to upgrade breaker (GFCI) and outlet to 50A at both ends. I don't charge higher than 32A, since I have no need to press it faster, but insulation surface temperatures haven't exceeded 108° after pulling quite a few kWh. I own a Kia EV6. And if you're my landlord, no I didn't.
