Y'all can miss me with judgments about people not leaving WNC for Helene. It's a rural area. Lots of people have farm animals that are difficult if not impossible to relocate. They are used to weathering storms. This one was unfathomable. Not only that, but this storm got really bad really quickly. And when you live in the mountains with literally one road in and out, you don't have a lot of options in a scenario like this.
