Is the baby healthy? I told a friend who had no child experience not to be surprised if it seemed like their 2 year old did not eat. They eat fruit one day and protein another. If they are healthy just keep offering them good choices and see what they eat. Definitely do not make it a power struggle. He may get enough at breakfast.
