Resources are extremely limited and need to be for those who live there and those doing the rescue and repair efforts. send the money he would’ve spent going to a local organization or wait a few weeks or a month and they will also need your help then.

Even those who are well equipped for situations like this are struggling. But this storm was completely unprecedented. You can help by volunteering at local places near you, collecting supplies, donating, etc.
