The only good thing about pixel is the camera, the AI and the screen, everything else is mid-range, pixel is not known for outstanding performance in terms of gaming or multitasking.

Because Samsung. Google’s Tensor chips are co-designed and manufactured with/by Samsung. Samsung’s silicon designs aren’t great and Google uses Samsung’s other block designs (not the CPU, GPU, and TPU). On top of that add Samsung’s poor semiconductor manufacturing that makes inferior chips compared to TSMC (that Apple, Nvidia, AMD etc uses). This results in lower efficiency: less performance, more power usage and more heat.

Google need to design their own processors and stop relying on Samsung to make them.
