I buy bags when they break but they don't fit in last year's Halloween costume because they grow relentlessly. Advent calendars are empty when they have eaten the sweets.

I purchase our kids quality backpacks so it can weather through a few years of use. Just need a good cleaning and sometimes we just buy them a cute patch to iron it on. Yes to buying new costumes every year. Advent, we have a wooden one that I reuse/organize/plan for every year.

We reuse backpacks until they fall apart or are no longer age/size appropriate, but usually go for something generic. We usually make our own costumes but they choose something new each year. This year my 4 year old wants to be “real” Spider-Man so we did buy him a costume. We don’t do advent calendars.
