I hear this. I've heard too many people speak of politicians as if they're supposed to be our saviors or friends. They're public servants who are suppose to serve the public for the better good of the whole. All this "I don't like him/her" or "that debate was boring" is juvenile. Elections are job interviews. We are responsible for picking the best person for the job, not the one we can go have drinks with at happy hour.
