Our constitution was written to keep our government from becoming what it is today. We were supposed to given ourselves as free people. The local government stepped in over disputes between individuals, counties governed cities, states governed county disputes and federal only governed disputes between states. We have made a mockery of what the founding fathers wanted this country to become.
