Route planning, best efforts (Strava shows more than garmins records) social aspect - can see other people's rides to get route ideas, messaging. If I meet someone on a group ride I can find them easily and connect without having to share a phone number.

Mostly because I want to support the platform. If nobody subscribes...it will cease to exist. I use it every day so I get my $s worth.
