Today it's sinking in. The first full day completely alone. The lack of a pet greeting me when I walk in the door. The lack of a pet waking me up at 5am for food. No cat on my lap while I watch YouTube videos and drink coffee before getting ready for work. I think I succeeded at giving Shadow the home she deserved after a rough start to her life and I sensed she was happy that I was her human. But here I am - living in a 4 floor townhouse for no one but myself. The emptiness is real. 💔
