I had a woman walk into a class I was substituting, stop to look at me, and then say out loud, “I don’t have time for this” as she pointed at me. She walked out. I was not the ethnicity she felt could teach the class, I guess. It sucks and I hear you. I’m sorry you were belittled because of what you look like.

A man I was helping asked for a discount , and I said we can’t do that - he preceded to motion to my new hire and said “ask your manager “. I loved saying - I AM the manager !
