I saw a little girl crying, completely naked on the streets today. I had my headphones in trying to ignore the blaring of traffic. My eyes were on the ground watching for cow dung. My nose was partially blocked from the pollution and the ever present smell of old piss and shit. I saw small dark brown bare feet, sadly common here, and glanced up to check how to dodge. I noticed the tears first and worried if she was ok. That quick glance hadn't fully registered the larger problem. (1/?)
