Can we talk quasi-skeuomorphisms? I've seen this on my Samsung TVs as well as some others: when you turn the power "off" the picture collapses to a single horizontal line in the center of the screen, mimicking the old CRT TVs of the 20th century which had a deflected electron gun to paint the screen. My TV has thousands of LEDs and they can turn on and off faster than I can see. I find this behavior a bit silly.
