Ok. I'm going to date myself with this story, but this is a little bit of the story of my birth, and why I will always be pro vax. This is the story as it has been related to me since obviously I was a newborn and therefore busy figuring out how to person. So, I was born before the chickenpox vaccine was available in the US (yes, I am an Old). I have two older brothers who were school age at the time, and not long before my mom's scheduled caesarean they both contracted chickenpox.

My mums cousin is a polio survivor (with major mobility issues) from the 1950s. My cousin was one of five children admitted to hospital during an outbreak in the 1980s. And the only one to survive the night. Many of those who are swayed by the antis don’t have the family memories to relate too, particularly as there has been such a long period between major outbreaks.
17 小時內	Courtney Burns courtneyburns1990	I don’t think chickenpox vaccine is a thing in the UK. Thankfully I have never had chickenpox. I got whooping cough as an adult after being vaccinated as a child and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. My husband was even left with asthma due to lung damage from it. Apperantly the immunity from the jab wears off in your 20s. Again I’m from the UK who doesn’t offer it to adults unless pregnant but would advise anyone who can get it as an adult to do so.
