Listening to a reel with a British voiceover. I was caught off guard by the pronunciation of gigabyte... as "jigabyte". Is this a common pronunciation in Great Britain?

Despite it being a correct pronunciation, according to dictionaries on both sides of the Atlantic, it is definitely not a common pronunciation in the UK.

To me the worst British pronunciation is when people say the letter “H” as “haitch”, with a hard H in the beginning. I mean… What the H is that all about?

the only times I hear a j sound is when speaking to native speakers of romance languages, and it's more like tch--ee-gga than jigga sound 🤔
