Kate, Daniel and the amazing Maisie took us for a day out to Coochiemudlo Island. 45min drive from Brisbane and a 15min ferry trip. Walk through mangrove and gum trees to expanses of beautiful empty beaches - like Druridge Bay but with sunshine. Bit of a cool wind. Saw a range of birdlife including a white faced heron, a white bellied sea eagle and a masked lapwing - all very exotic. That's me in the sea btw - not often I venture into the ocean! #coochiemudloisland
