To be honest durgapuja is pretty overwhelming for me. Kolkata’s grand celebrations especially. I grew up in a small village, with small celebrations that at the time I thought was grand. With the sound of two dhaak-s! But coming first to Burdwan and then Kolkata left me speechless. The sheer beauty and artistry and deep meanings behind the Pandal constructions left me overwhelmed and always emotional. This year I am not visiting home. And I miss that feeling.
